The Theatre’s main stage represents a war for art between friends, a performance based on a play written by a French actress, playwright and director Yasmina Reza. A witty and light comedy about male friendship was honoured the Molière Award, Laurence Olivier Award and many other prestigious prizes.
The conflict of the play, as you might guess, arises around art. One of these close friends is an ardent follower of classical painting, the second one is a passionate admirer of conceptual art, the third friend dreams that these meaningless disputes would finally stop and that his mates would remember about his upcoming wedding.
Finally, the debates about different tastes in art transform into an ego conflict. Three friends have to choose what is more important for them: steady tastes or a good friendship.
