Production

The chamber stage of the Theater hosts Vladimir Tumanov’s production based on the play “Tea Ceremony” by Alexander Stroganov, the founder of a new direction in drama – para-realism.

Love is full of oddities and secrets, rustles and melodies, warmth and despair. Sometimes it seems that the characters of the play are in inside all of all these things and sometimes they behave themselves as if they see each other for the first time. The world they created is emitting the light, but it could be also dangerous and unpredictable when this light fades. What is that connection between a man and a woman? A holiday? An execution? A game? It is hard to say. Anyway, everything seems to be a life-long oriental ceremony.
