Production

The main stage of the Theater presents one of the most popular plays by American playwright of the XXth century, Thornton Wilder - The Long Christmas Dinner.

Thornton Wilder was sensible to the passing of time. Therefore, time becomes the protagonist of his works. Being winner of numerous awards and prizes, Wilder tries to talk about the eternal problems of the course of life in a simple language and with everyday examples, which, however, have a symbolic meaning.

The characters of the play are family members that come together every Christmas. Holiday dinners are repeated every Christmas for many years. Four generations of the family pass in front of the spectators, people live, born and die, and time goes on. The family is fading away just before our eyes, it is dying followed by emptiness and new similar stories of similar families with a similar fate.
